With the massive growth of food delivery companies, there’s also a wide discrepancy
in whom delivers from what restaurant, what they charge and the hidden fees. Food delivery platforms use dynamic pricing model, leaving users disconnected from knowing the difference between what they can pay on-stores or through online delivery.
In parallel, those platforms take up to a 30% commission from restaurants on each successful order. In order to save on the hefty food app fees, a lot of restaurants have started their own self-delivery service and others are still looking for a solution.
Buzz is an online food delivery cooperative that is looking to bring forth a more equitable relationship between restaurants, delivery drivers and consumers. We connect local restaurants offering self-delivery with those of us who want a one-stop for all food delivery options. An initiative to promote people to actually stay inside and help businesses survive during these hard times: all restaurants offering self-delivery are gathered into one place, so users can save time and money by comparing delivery fees, times, best deals and order minimums in real-time with a single click.
Ordering directly from the restaurant will save customers a few dollars by nixing app service fees all while helping local restaurants by ensuring they get to keep all of their revenue and not have to give up any commission to any of the online delivery apps.
