Compo
Compo is built on a simple premise: sorting better, earlier, and more intelligently can unlock exponential gains across the entire waste system.
Today, contamination at the source undermines even the most advanced recycling and compost infrastructure.
We’re exploring a combination of:
-AI-driven material classification
-Constrained physical sorting systems
-Behavioral feedback loops
At its core, the idea is simple but powerful: better sorting early on doesn’t just improve outcomes linearly, it compounds across the entire system. Cleaner inputs lead to more recoverable material, more viable outputs, and stronger economic incentives throughout the value chain.
The working hypothesis is that upstream sorting improvements compound across the system, increasing recovery rates, improving output quality, and unlocking new economic pathways for recovered materials.
We’re building toward a system where waste is not just managed, but understood, optimized, and continuously improved from the moment it is created.
Looking for builders across CV, robotics, and systems design, as well as strong thinkers on the economic and operational side.
